National Trust property Nostell Priory is one of our most popular venues for the photography courses in South Yorkshire, Nostell Priory is located to the east of Wakefield within easy reach of Leeds. The superb parkland and grounds give us a good variety of subjects including the formal gardens, orangery, woodland and lakeside walks with a stunning collection of rhododendrons and azaleas in late spring. Nostell Priory also hosts a good number of specialist events during the year which provide additional sources of subjects for our workshops.
Built on the site of a medieval priory, Nostell has been the home of the Winn family for 300 years. Commissioned by Sir Rowland Winn in 1733, James Paine built the house. Later additions by Robert Adam created exceptional interiors. The architecture, gardens and lakes are a perfect backdrop for any budding photographer and we will be on hand to guide you in capturing some stunning photographs.
